The Brooks B15 Swallow is a faithful reproduction of a leather saddle specifically conceived with the sporting cyclist in mind, the result being a timeless design widely regarded as the precursor of all modern racing saddles.

The classic racing saddle: the B15 Swallow Chrome from Brooks

This saddle was patented back in 1937. At that time, a great many such Brooks saddles were exported to the continent, where they were very popular with professional cyclists who participated in the various tours and stage races. The current Swallow Chrome still proudly bears the original patent designation on the clamping plate under the slim upper leather. The word “deposé” is included in this text because the patent application was originally filed with the Paris Patent Office.
The timeless design of the Brooks Swallow remains virtually unchanged to this day and it is still, just like back then, made by hand in England.
